Motorcycle Reviews: 2010 Harley-Davidson Road Glide vs. 2010 Victory Cross Country Read the full article: www.motorcycle.com If youre in the market for a new bagger in 2010 youre in luck. Victory has added not one but two new models to its touring family. The Cross Country and Cross Roads expand Victorys own touring family while adding more selection to the collection of hardbag cruisers currently on the market. With the new Vics comes more competition for Harley-Davidson, arguably the father of the hard luggage cruiser segment. During the unveiling in July of this year of the two new models, Victory didnt mince words when the company made it plainly obvious Harleys Street Glide and Road King are where Victory had set its sights with the Cross bikes.

Sounds like a Lawn mower or Snowmobile dudes
)))
thats all the info they could say about the RG? glove box and what not? how about the HP & FTLBS? what is the power of the RG compared to that victory? are they really that different from each other?
How much does it cost to get a valve adjustment?…just curious because obvisously a Vic owner wouldn’t know and the cost to get any Harley Davidson to make more than 69 hp? $500 will get a Vic to about 100hp/100lbs of trq. I am just saying.
Unless your into the “Harley lifestyle” the Victory is definitely a viable alternative. More powerful, looks great and rides great. The only thing I’d give the Harley over the victory is the ABS brake option. I currently own a Harley street glide but when the time comes for my next toy I will certainly look at the Victory’s.
The hatred comming from the hd crowd is simply penis envy.
I don’t understand someting. The 10 RG is set lower than the 09’s how does that handle better? The turning radius has to be less than the 09 does it not?. By the way the Victory is a nice bike but man can they do something about those friggin ugly plain ass engines? Ughhh I would take the HD anyday of the week and twice on sunday’s.
I personally own a ‘03 vic v92c, and a ‘75 sporty 1000. But if I was to purchase a bike soley on looks, it would be a harley for sure. They are the best lookin bike on the road period. I would take a street glide over the cross country in a minute. As for power, dependability, and handling vics all the way!!
The Sportsters still use Evo engines. They are very reliable.
I was talking about the new 96ci engines, which are shit.
Funny how Harley’s most reliable engine was designed by AMF and is only used in their cheapest bikes!
And their BEST engine, the Revolution, is only in the VROD series. That engine should be available in EVERY freakin Harley. Why wouldn’t you want DOUBLE the power? Why wouldn’t you want a liquid cooled, modern drivetrain?
FishWitch…120,000 miles on her ‘05 kingping…has she rebuilt the top end or the bottom end? nope…Tires, belt, oil brake pads, that’s about it.
Hey…
I own a Harley Sportster 1200 cc from 2001 and a 1000 cc from 1982. The ancient ironhead (shovelhead) breaks down a lot, but the evolution engine just goes on…
I ride an average of 50.000 km per year (32.000 miles) and stretch the maintenance intervals with a factor of 1.5.
If I’m not mistaken, 1200 cc is about 73 ci. But still, Harleys from the last two decades are reliable!
LOL, I don’t need a video to back it all up, I have it and that’s all that matters. I’m obviously leaps and bounds more intelligent then you “HDMalkyB”. You are making me look even more intelligent the more you post dumb pointless comments.
I agree with Gypscrew. I have a kingpin low and I’m more than happy with the bike, I customized it and it looks better than any HD bikes.
@Gypscrew gee if you only had a video to back all that shit up. LOSER!!
exactly, if you see HD owners getting defensive because of Victory. It’s mainly because they are obviously threatened by Victory. So far I own a Polaris sportsman 550, damn near impossible to get stuck. I also have a victory 8-ball, which I have yet to have any problems, had it for 3 years now and never had to fix a thing. I haven’t had to fix anything on either of these, they run perfect. **shrug**
Also, don’t believe anything “HarleyDavidsonDaBest” has to say, he’s not that intelligent.
You’re the fag who has 20K on his Harley and thinks that proves it’s reliable.
There’s a reason you don’t see 96ci Harley engines with 60K miles on them. They need to be rebuilt at 45K at least.
Ever since Harley abandoned the Evo motor, their engines have been shit and you are a fool to think otherwise.
I don’t understand all the hate coming from HD owners towards Victory. Having an alternative American cruiser is good for Harley buyers. It means Harley has to continually improve their product and not rely on nostalgia and empty slogans. I also hear criticism of Victory because they are owned by Polaris. Polaris is an industry leading power sports manufacturer, what better company to make street bikes. What does HD make other than bikes? Crappy overpriced merchandise trucked in from China.
I was told the same thing. Harleys are reliable as any other bike.
i was always told harleys breal down a lot but now that i own one ,, i don,t understand that i run mine hard a lot and it keeps going ,, its the smallest harley built ,, sportster but its fun as all get out to ride and i have ridden honda shadows and other,s ,, just love the feel of my little harley davidson
What do you have for a Harley? I have 20,000 on my Super Glide and no problems yet.
I have to agree with “StreetGlide63″, this vid didn’t tell me anything that a casual glance at either bike’s ad couldn’t have told me. Where’s the “review”?
harleys are pretty reliable atleast mine seems to be ,, ive been running mine to death and only thing ive ever done was change the oil ,, tires and brakes,, so far ive got 27,000 miles on my bike
so funny, i was thinking the same thing.. how could anyone use the word “reliable” next to “H-D” ?
That pretty much told us……… Uh Nothing
@ultraswg…this star wars fag is still living in the past. Harley Davidson is as reliable as any motorcycle out there.
So Lay-Z-Boy wins the couch test?
